FAQ
Do my cats interact with cats from other households during their stay?
Cats personalities are so different from one to the next(just like us!) As friendly and accepting as some of our guests might be of other cats, we don't mingle cats from other households during their stay.
How much space do my cats have during their stay?
Our 'Original Suites' are spacious enough to accommodate between 3-4 cats from the same household. We also have 'Bungalow Suites' which can sleep 1-2 cats from the same home.
Our 'Garden Suites' can house 3-4 cats from the same household. Additionally, this accommodation option has a secure and private outdoor terrace.
Seeing is believing so, why not take a look through our Accomodation and Rates page, visit our Facebook/Instagram pages or give us a Call/WhatsApp to arrange a viewing prior to your cats stay with us!
How much time will you spend with my cats?
We pride ourselves on the time we spend with your feline friends, we understand also that each cat has completely different needs than the next.
Some love to be groomed, others like to play or climb and most just want an old fashioned cuddle late at night before bed.
(If your cat wants all of the above and more, that's purrfectly fine too!)
We can guarantee you that your cats will spend a sizeable chunk of their day exploring every nook and cranny of the cattery and interacting with us outside of their suite!
Do you supply food?
Unfortunately not, we want your cat to acclimatise @ The Paw Lodge as quickly as possible. A sudden change in diet can be unsettling so we advise against this. However, we have a trained Nutritionist on site and can recommend tailored nutrition for your feline friend.
Can you administer medication?
Our trained Nutritionist is also qualified to handle, dispense and administer most medications that are required during your cats stay.
Just let us know prior to arrival/via the booking form and we will be happy to chat more and schedule any meds.
**From January 2024 we can no longer accomodate cats that require injected medicines(i.e. Insulin)***
What happens if my travel plans change?
Fear not, in the unlikely event of a breakdown or a delayed flight we will accommodate you as best we can.
*Late check out fees are charged at the standard daily rate of your cat(s) stay.
Do I need to bring my own cat's bed?
We supply cat beds here @ The Paw Lodge but a small blanket or favourite toy is always advisable for their holidays as this can help settle your loved ones a lot quicker.
Will I receive updates on my cats stay at The Paw Lodge?
Yes! As standard, we send daily updates to owners all about their cats stay with us. From photos and GIFs to short videos. It's all part and parcel!
For long term guests and returning customers, we will stagger daily updates depending on the duration of your cats stay.
Is the cattery heated?
Yes the cattery is heated during the colder months, cosy cat caves, heat pads or hot water bottles can be supplied for the more sensitive souls.
What time is Check In & Check Out?
Check-In and Check-Out is between 10am and 12pm daily. Late Check-Out times are available also from 4pm - 6pm.
Check-In is available outside of these hours, please contact us with your arrangements and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Does my cat need vaccinations?
We can only accept cats with fully up to date vaccinations and a certificate to show this. You will need to produce this cert every time your cat stays with us. Failure to have up to date vaccine certs on arrival will result in your cat(s) being refused admission to The Paw Lodge Cattery.
Does my cat need to be neutered/spayed?
Yes, we ask that all guests(Male & Female) are neutered/spayed prior to their stay with us.
Should I treat my cat for Fleas/Ticks/Worms prior to a stay with you?
We advise each owner to make sure that their cat has received flea/tick and worm treatment prior to arrival. Most treatments for external parasites, generally last 4-5 weeks, we ask that your treatment covers their duration of stay.
What if my cat becomes ill/injured during their stay?
In the unexpected event that your cat falls ill whilst at 'The Paw Lodge', we have access to a local 24hr emergency vet to tend to your cat. Although, if you would prefer for us to contact the vet you normally use, this can be arranged also.
What are your payment options?
Payments can be made via Cash/Revolut/Credit/Debit Card.
Revolut payments must be made in advance of your cats arrival date. Cash and card payments can be made on arrival.
